Neil Bentley is the AECOM Vice President, Aviation, Asia Pacific responsible for the aviation market sector in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Asian regions include Hong Kong, China, India and South East Asia.
Neil has extensive airport management, strategic planning, master planning, facilities planning, design, design management, special systems, operational, commercial and engineering experience accumulated over the last 34 years as an engineering professional, the last 27 years being dedicated to the aviation industry.
Neil’s role includes direct involvement in projects as well as business development. His international experience includes directing key aviation assignments at airports in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, China, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines.
In the Philippines Neil has had extensive airport experience over the last 13 years. Projects include the 2004 NAIA Master Plan, the 2005 Clark Airport Master Plan and 2011 updates, ADB funded projects in 2005 for developing the Southern Airports, the 2006 Greater Capital Region Airport Development Strategy, Airport Development Studies for MIAA in 2008 and in 2013 a concept plan for a new Manila Airport as well as leading the winning tender design for the recent Mactan Cebu Airport PPP.
